Acclaimed interior designer and wife of Shah Rukh Khan, Gauri Khan has been honored with the Best Interior Designer award at the Harper’s Bazaar Women of the Year Awards 2024. The honor recognizes his significant contributions to the industry and celebrates his inspiring journey as a self-made entrepreneur.

In her acceptance speech, Khan reflected on the beginning of her design career, while offering words of encouragement to women everywhere. “My design journey started when I was only 40. So, to all the women out there – age should never stop you. If you start a business that should never come in your way. And if you dream it you can achieve it, that’s my mantra.

The Harper’s Bazaar India Women of the Year Awards this year were based on a unique feature. The aim of the event was to create a ‘chain of empowerment’ for women by having each winner award a trophy to the winner of the next category.
