1. Actor Bala controversy
In a shocking turn of events, actor Bala, known for his work in South Indian cinema, was arrested on the morning of October 14. Following his arrest, his ex-wife Amrita Suresh filed a complaint against him accusing him of defaming her. And his daughter. Based on Lajo Jose’s novel Ruthinte Lokam, Bougainvillea is directed by Amal Neerad. The film revolves around a couple, Royce and Reethu (played by Kunchacko and Jyotirmai), whose lives completely change after an accident. Meanwhile, Fahadh Faasil plays the role of ACP David Koshy, who steps in to investigate the mysterious disappearances of tourists in Kerala.
3. Darshan Thoogudeepa case
Jailed actor Darshan Thoogudeepa, accused of murdering his alleged fan Renukaswamy, has moved the High Court after a Bengaluru court rejected his bail plea. According to a report in Times Now, Darshan Thoogudeepa’s new bail plea submitted to the Karnataka High Court also includes a request for an emergency hearing.

Ahead of the release of Suriya’s upcoming film Kanguva, the official announcement by the actor of collaborating with RJ Balaji for Suriya 45 has taken social media by storm. Unveiling the official announcement poster of the film, Suriya shared it with the caption, “Thrilled!” RJ Balaji, on the other hand, unveiled it with the caption, “We promise you all a blockbuster entertainer.”
According to reports, Suriya 45 is expected to be an action thriller which will be based on the village backdrop. The announcement poster shows a series of long sickles decorated with tilak, with a vel (spear) at the centre.
6. Oviya files police complaint after allegedly morphed video gets leaked
