Trigger warning: This article mentions death.

Liam Payne’s tragic death has left his fans and loved ones in shock. As the industry mourns the news, Payne’s girlfriend Kate Cassidy has spoken out about the tragic incident on her social media platforms.

Hours before Payne’s death after falling from a hotel room balcony, the musician’s social media stories showed Cassidy enjoying the view and a coffee with the 31-year-old.

Two days after the former One Direction band member’s tragic passing, the influencer posted stories on her Instagram in which she described Liam as an “angel” and claimed she always loved her late boyfriend.

In an emotional note that Cassidy shared along with Payne’s photos, the social media influencer said, “I am at a complete loss. Nothing about the last few days has felt real.” She further wrote, “I beg and pray that you will give me the grace and space to navigate this privately.”

She ended her message by writing, “Liam, my angel. You are everything. I want you to know that I love you unconditionally and completely. I will love you for the rest of my life. I love you. “I do, Liam.”

Cassidy and Payne were together for two years. They were first seen together in October 2022 after the late singer broke up with Cheryl Cole and Maya Henry. While the pair kept their relationship out of the spotlight, the influencer often posted stories and excerpts from the former band member on her social media accounts.

Additionally, Cassidy joined the Live While We’re Young singer in Buenos Aires, where the two attended Niall Horan’s concert on October 2. While the musicians stayed in a hotel room in Argentina, Cassidy returned home.

Before paying tribute to his girlfriend, Payne’s ex-girlfriend, Aliana Mavala, posted a photo of the “L” and “P” tattoos on both of the former boy band member’s thumbs, with the words in between, “Rest in Paradise. ”

Additionally, Liam’s fellow bandmates paid their tribute to the friend and late band singer in a joint statement, as well as separately on their social media pages.

In a statement released by One Direction, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik and Harry Styles said, “We are absolutely devastated by the news of Liam’s passing.”

It further reads, “With time, and when everyone is able to, there will be more to say. But right now, we need to mourn the passing of our brother, whom we loved so much, and “It will take some time to deal with.”

Liam Payne is survived by his parents, sisters, and a son, Bear.
