Born in Kharkada village of Meham in Rohtak district, Jaideep Ahlawat aspired to join the army, but fate brought him to the world of acting. In an earlier interview with News 18, the Maharaj actor revealed how he started doing theater after his dream of becoming an Indian Army officer was shattered.
He told the portal, “I wanted to become an Indian Army officer, but that didn’t happen, I started going to theater and it gave me a different world. Then I went to India to study in the film and television industry. ” 2022.
Jaideep decided to get into acting after several unsuccessful attempts to clear SSB interviews. Jaideep Ahlawat started his career with the film Khatta Meetha directed by Priyadarshan. The political satire comedy starred Akshay Kumar and Trisha Krishnan in the lead roles. Jaideep played the role of Sanjay Rana, a politician, in the 2010 film. After this, Jaideep worked in Ajay Devgan starrer film Aakrosh in the same year.
Jaideep played the role of Hathi Ram Chaudhary, a policeman, in the web series Paatal Lok in 2020.
Jaideep experienced a turning point in his acting career in 2012 with the film Gangs of Wasseypur, directed by renowned director Anurag Kashyap.
The Raazi actor was offered the role of Manoj Bajpayee’s on-screen father in his successful film. While Manoj played the role of Sardar Khan, Jaideep was cast as Shahid Khan in the black comedy crime film.
He was last seen in YRF’s production Maharaj earlier this year. Her co-star in the film was Junaid Khan, son of debutant Aamir Khan.
