Popular actor Barun Sobti believes that although one cannot control success, they can definitely work for it. In an exclusive conversation with India Today Digital, he discussed the growing trend among the youth to work hard and long hours, often at the cost of their well-being. This phenomenon, commonly known as hustle culture, has received mixed reactions from various industries.

Discussing the need to achieve all this among young people, Barun pointed out that the problem stems from agenda. “Success is something you can’t control, work is all you can do. I know it may sound like a big deal but when the fate of some things is not in your hands, what’s the point of beating yourself up? If hard work and long hours can guarantee success, you should work hard but also raise yourself for the things that are relevant to the society. There is a continuous process and everyone needs to work towards it.”

The Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon actor further shared that, unlike television, the schedule of OTT is more planned. “We shoot 12 hours a day, and the shooting probably lasts for a maximum of three months. Still, the lead characters spend about 45-60 days filming and I am ready for that. Personally, I would never do a toxic film. I have not been a part of the workplace, and I feel extremely fortunate about it that all my sets are creating happiness, but I know that it is not always when I liked the story, but when I met the producers. , so I felt that was not my place, my comfort zone and I left that project,” he shared while talking about toxicity at work.

We further asked whether he makes special efforts to maintain a personal-professional balance and plans vacations with family. To this Barun replied, “Not really because I enjoy the package of my life. I enjoy it when I work, and I enjoy time with my family. That’s how I Have established your life.”

Barun Sobti revealed that his next film is a light-hearted comedy Ikhathe, while he is also shooting for Kohrra 2. When asked if he didn’t wish to see himself on the big screen, the actor smiled and said, “I’m really happy with it.” My own place. Big or small screen doesn’t matter anymore.
