MasterChef India Telugu winner was announced on June 7, 2024. Mehboob Vin Basha from Anantapur won the coveted trophy and was awarded prize money of Rs 10 lakh. The finale episode premiered today, June 7 on SonyLIV.

Driven by his passion for pastries and a dream to turn his father’s kebab cart into something bigger, Mehboob Vin Basha impressed the judges and won the hearts of the audience with his innovative cooking. Throughout the season, Mehboob faced tough competition from other talented home cooks including Jasveen Kaur, Shyam Gopisetty and Ravi Prakash Chandran, who made it to the top four. However, it was Mehboob’s exceptional culinary skills and creativity that earned him the title of MasterChef India Telugu.

Mehboob’s journey to victory is deeply intertwined with his family’s legacy. Inspired by his father’s kebab business, Mehboob dreamed of turning it into a fine dining experience. This dream led him to participate in MasterChef India Telugu. Despite the challenges, Mehboob honed his skills and pursued his culinary ambitions, focusing on merging local flavors with modern techniques. His commitment to preserving and carrying forward his father’s culinary legacy really made him stand out in the competition.

Speaking about his win, Vin Basha said, “Winning MasterChef India Telugu feels like a lifelong dream come true. This win is not just mine, it belongs to my family, especially my late father, whose love for cooking instilled a passion in me as well. Standing in the MasterChef kitchen, I would often imagine his pride and joy. His dream of turning our kebab cart into a fine dining establishment has always been my inspiration, and this win takes me one step closer to realising that dream.”
