Who is Oviya?
Oviya is an Indian actress who hails from a Christian family from Thrissur, Kerala. He started his acting career with the film Kangaroo starring Prithviraj Sukumaran in the lead role. This film was released in 2007. After doing a few films including Puthiya Mukham and Apoorva, Oviya decided to complete her graduation degree from her native place.
During this time, director Sarkunam approached her for her Tamil debut with the film Kalavani. Oviya starred opposite Vimal in this film in 2010 and received positive feedback for her incredible performance.
After the huge success of Kalavani, he signed many films including Vengai, Seevanu, Muthukku Muthaga and others.
However, Oviya’s career took off after appearing in the reality TV show Bigg Boss Tamil Season 1 in 2017. The actress gained popularity in the show for her honesty. Soon after Oviya posted, a troll entered the comments section and asked her to share a longer version of the leaked clip. Responding calmly, Oviya wrote, “Next time, brother.”
