The lawyer said, “I am not arguing for the acquittal of accused Darshan. I am arguing for getting him bail in the case.”

He also claimed that Darshan was unaware of Renuka Swamy until June 5, when Pavitra Gowda stopped talking to him as he was on a distant trip with his wife.
“When Pavitra Gowda was not talking to Darshan, how could he know about Renuka Swamy?” According to Times Now, Darshan’s lawyer said.
