Apple is expected to host another launch event in 2024, which will take place later this month. At the event, the Cupertino giant is expected to unveil its new M4-chip powered MacBook Pro, Mac Mini and iPad Pro. There are also rumors that the iPad Mini 7 will be unveiled at the event. Although Apple has not yet confirmed the date of the event or any other details about it, it is also being speculated that these new MacBooks and iPads will hit the market by November 1.
Apple is expected to unveil its latest M4-powered Macs at its upcoming October event, which could include a redesigned M4 Mac mini and possibly a new 24-inch iMac. Rumors suggest that the M4 Macs will begin shipping by the first week of November, following their anticipated launch in late October.
Apart from the Mac lineup, Apple may also refresh its iPad offering at the same event. While the iPad Pro was already updated this year, the spotlight may shift to the entry-level iPads and iPad Mini. This means we may see the 11th generation iPad and the 7th generation iPad mini for the first time. According to reports, Apple is focusing on reducing production costs for its lower-end iPad, so no major design changes are expected, but there is a possibility of a price increase for the iPad 11th generation.
The iPad 11th generation is rumored to come with a more powerful A16 or A18 chip, potentially aligning it with Apple’s latest iPhones. Additionally, it may offer 128GB of base storage, a feature that many users are eagerly waiting for. Meanwhile, the iPad mini, which was last updated in 2021, may get an A18 chip and Apple Intelligence features like Siri, Genmoji, and Image Playground. Despite these improvements, the price of the iPad Mini is expected to remain at $499, although the storage may be doubled to 128 GB, making it a more attractive option for users. The starting price in India is expected to be around Rs 45,900.
Amidst all the leaks surrounding Apple’s October launch, the worst possible leak in Apple history is also happening. Earlier this week, two Russian YouTubers claimed that they were able to get their hands on an unreleased 14-inch M4 MacBook Pro. The video shows the 14-inch MacBook Pro packaging, detailing a configuration featuring an M4 chip with a 10-core CPU and GPU. It is equipped with 16GB RAM, 512GB internal storage and three Thunderbolt 4 ports. The device is shown in a sleek space black finish, suggesting that it could be a high-end variant in the MacBook Pro lineup.
