Air raid sirens echoed across central Israel, including Tel Aviv, after surface-to-surface missiles were fired from Yemen at Israel on the first anniversary of the deadly attacks that killed more than 1,200 people. Israel did not say who fired the missile, but the Iran-backed Houthis – a Shiite militant group in Yemen – have attacked Israel several times in the past year in solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza.
Several events were held across Israel to commemorate those killed in attacks by Hamas. The video shows people running for cover as air raid sirens sound. When the missile warning was issued, many journalists lay down on the ground.
In another video, people in a mall were seen running for safety after an aerial missile attack, which was intercepted by Israel’s air force.

On October 7, 2023, Hamas, a terrorist group that controls Gaza, entered Israel and launched ‘Operation Al Aqsa Flood’, a deadly terrorist attack that killed more than 1,200 people across the country. Israel was tricked. Hamas operatives fired more than 5,000 rockets, arrived via paraglider, breached the Gaza wall and began a killing spree.
The terrorists kidnapped 251 hostages, 97 of whom are still held in Gaza, 33 of whom have been declared dead by Israeli forces.

Israel’s military campaign in the Gaza Strip has killed at least 41,870 Palestinians, the majority of them civilians, according to figures provided by the health ministry in Hamas-run Gaza. The United Nations has considered these figures reliable.
The Israeli military said on Sunday it had deployed more troops to protect southern communities and areas bordering Gaza ahead of the anniversary of the October 7 attack by Hamas.
Inside Gaza, the army said three divisions were working to “destroy terrorist infrastructure and degrade Hamas capabilities.”
