Janice Combs, mother of hip-hop mogul Sean Diddy Combs, has finally addressed the legal issues involving her son. In a touching statement, she expressed her deep pain regarding the public allegations against Diddy, who is currently facing serious charges, including sex trafficking and racketeering, according to TMZ.
Janice confides in her lawyer Natalie G. about the troubling situation. Figures spoke with Local 10 News on Sunday and shared his thoughts on the claims against his son.
Janice Combs clarified that despite the serious allegations, she fully supports Diddy. In her statement, she expressed her pain, saying, “To witness the public murder of my son before getting the opportunity to prove his innocence is a pain too unbearable to put into words.” He said that Diddy was not judged on the basis of facts but on the basis of a story fabricated with lies.
Acknowledging the complexities of the case, Janice urged the public to withhold judgment until Diddy gets his day in court. She believes the media has helped create a bad image of her son without considering the whole story.
He said that sometimes truth and lies become so closely linked that it becomes scary to accept part of the story, especially when that truth is outside the norm or so complex that it cannot be believed.
One of the main concerns Janice expressed in her statement was the shocking hotel camera evidence that allegedly showed Diddy abusing his ex-girlfriend, Cassie. This footage has been essential to the claims against him.
While Janice acknowledged that her son may not have been completely truthful about the matter, she said that does not automatically make him guilty of the more serious claims.
Janice also mentioned Diddy’s settlement with Cassie, which some believe could trigger a series of legal issues for the rap icon. She claimed, “I think his settlement with Cassie created a domino effect that led to all this drama,” hinting that the timing of the allegations may be related to Diddy and Cassie’s court settlement.
However, she insisted that the claims against her son are false and that Diddy is not the person the public and media portray him to be.
