Legendary actor Al Pacino, 84, has opened up about his near-death experience while battling COVID-19 in 2020. In a recent interview with The New York Times, the Godfather star detailed the terrifying moment he fainted during his illness. ,

Pacino recalled, “I didn’t have a pulse.” “Within minutes (the paramedics) were there – the ambulance in front of my house. There were about six paramedics in that living room of mine, and two doctors, and they had on outfits that looked like they were from outside Location or something,” he said.

The Oscar-winning actor said he started feeling “not well” before losing consciousness. At the time he was suffering from high fever and dehydration, but despite the seriousness of the situation, he maintained his humour.

Pacino said, “I didn’t see the white light or anything.” “There’s nothing there. I never thought about it in my life. But you know actors: it’s nice to say I died once. What is it when there’s no one else left?” He said.

Although the moment was terrifying, Pacino said he was unafraid of death. “As you get older, you get a different perspective on death,” he said. He said, “It’s just the way it is. I didn’t ask for it. It just comes, like a lot of things come.”

The actor also shared his thoughts on his role as a father and said that his children are a major reason why he would “like to stay together a little longer if possible.”

Pacino has four children, including his 1-year-old son, Roman, whom he welcomed with Noor Alfallah in June 2023. He is also the father of ex-girlfriend Jan Tarrant and daughter Julie Marie, 23. Older twins Anton and Olivia with ex Beverly D’Angelo.
