Yash who was last seen in the blockbuster KGF: Chapter 2 is all set to appear in the film Toxic directed by Malayalam director Geethu Mohandas. However, rumors are doing the rounds that the film has been shelved by the makers, though official confirmation is yet to come.
According to a report in Deccan Chronicle, the film Toxic with Yash has not been shelved but its production is getting delayed. The report also claims that the film will start its work soon. Whatever be the case, the official update about the Yash starrer has not been made yet.
Interestingly, another report by Koimoi claims that the upcoming film will be made on a budget twice as expensive as KGF: Chapter 2. This film will be made on a very large scale and will be one of the most expensive films. Made in Yash’s career.
The film Toxic, which also has the tagline “A fairy tale for grown-ups”, is expected to be a period drama that revolves around a drug cartel operating from Goa. Initially it was reported that Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan would be in the lead role in the film, but later news came that after Nayanthara’s arrival, she had backed out of the project.
Furthermore, the film is also expected to introduce Kiara Advani as Yash’s love interest, with additional actors like Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria, Shruti Haasan and many others playing key roles.
Despite the makers not yet confirming the full cast of the film, the makers had announced the project with Yash in early 2024. A title teaser was unveiled by the makers with an interesting image of the KGF actor as Shruti sang the theme song.

Apart from Toxic, it has also been reported that Ranbir Kapoor may play the role of Ravana in Sai Pallavi starrer Ramayan, directed by Yash Nitesh Tiwari. This magnum opus film is also expected to feature RK in a dual role and the film is rumored to release in 2025.
