Jowar Thepla Recipe | How to make jowar thepla at home

It is very easy to make jowar thepla at home. This recipe has been shared by digital content creators Sumit and Priyanka Kapoor on Instagram. To make it, start with:

1. Prepare the dough

Take a hollow container and add jowar flour, whole wheat flour, green chillies, green coriander, cumin seeds, kasuri methi, sesame seeds, salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, desi ghee, curd and grated zucchini. Knead the dough using very limited water. Make sure the dough is not too soft. Leave it like this for 5-10 minutes.

2. Flatten the dough balls

– After the dough sets, make small balls of it. Then apply a little flour and flatten it into the shape of a roti. Make sure you don’t make it too thin.

3. Cook Thepla

Heat a flat pan or tawa. Then gently place a thepla on it. Cook these thepals by applying oil on both sides. Medium flame is perfect for cooking these theplas. Once cooked, serve with pickle, vegetable or any chutney of your choice.
