Tamil actor Karthi and Arvind Swamy’s recently released film Meezhagan has been cut following audience reaction. The film received mixed reviews from critics and audiences. It is being told that about 15 to 18 minutes of portion has been removed from the film. The latest trim version of Miyazaki starts hitting theaters today, September 30.

The film’s runtime was two hours and 57 minutes, which was criticized by many. The revised runtime is reportedly around two hours and 40 minutes.

Miyajhagan is an emotional drama starring Karthi and Arvind Swamy in the lead roles. The film is written and directed by C Prem Kumar of 96 fame. The play is about a man’s journey of self-discovery when he meets a distant relative in his family village where he goes to attend his cousin’s wedding.

Produced by Suriya and Jyothika under 2D Entertainment, Miyajhagan also stars Sri Divya, Rajkiran, Swati Conde, Devdarshini, Jayaprakash, Sriranjani, Ilavarasu, Karunakaran and Raichal Rebecca in supporting roles. Composer Govind Vasanth, cinematographer Mahendiran Jayarahu and editor Govindraj are part of the technical team.
