The Amar Singh Chamkila actor once shared that he had decided to keep his family away from the public eye due to an incident that happened early in his career. He said that he is being criticized and his family is suffering the consequences. So, they decided to keep him safe while people could criticize him for his work.

earlier this year, Diljeet again remembered his childhood. He remembered how his parents had sent him to Ludhiana with his maternal uncle without even asking him once. Diljit said that because he moved away from his family at such a young age, he “lost connection” not only with them but with everyone.

Speaking to Ranveer Allahabadia on his podcast BearBiceps, Diljit said, “When I was 11 years old, I left my home. I moved from my village to my uncle’s house in Ludhiana. My uncle told my father, ‘Send him to the city with me (Send him to the city with me).’ My parents agreed and said, ‘take Hanji (Take him with you).’ “No one asked me whether I wanted to go or not.”

Furthermore, talking about his parents, Diljit said, “I respect my mother a lot and my father is very sweet. He never said anything to me. He just said, ‘You have to live.’ You will get a house and food.” Eat. Relax, it’s your life.”

meanwhile, Indian leg of Diljit Dosanjh’s Dil-Luminati Tour It will start on October 26 at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Delhi. The yatra will then travel across the country, visiting Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Pune, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Indore, Chandigarh and will end in Guwahati on December 29.
