India Today Group Executive Editor-in-Chief and Vice Chairperson Kali Puri, who delivered the vote of thanks at the conclusion of India Today Group’s two-day Conclave Mumbai, said the vigorous debate gave Mumbai a run for its money.

Addressing the India Today Mumbai Conclave session, Congress leader Gaurav Gogoi expressed deep concern over the ongoing conflict in Manipur. He questioned the approach of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, stressing that while the Prime Minister is actively involved in international diplomacy, brokering peace between Russia and Ukraine, he has yet to do anything about the Meitei and Kuki communities in Manipur. Has not intervened directly in the conflict. He stressed that the Prime Minister must be personally involved in the healing and reconciliation of communities in Manipur to restore peace. Gogoi also highlighted the bigger issues facing the Northeast and how the region’s problems often go unnoticed due to its distance from Delhi. He rejected the notion of pity for the Northeast and advocated strong leadership within the region.
