After arriving at the Hotel DuPont in Wilmington, Delaware, Prime Minister Modi shared a post on Instagram, writing, “The Indian community has made a mark in the US and made a positive impact in diverse fields. It is always a pleasure to interact with them.”
The Prime Minister said, “On Sunday, 22nd September at around 9:30 PM IST, I will be addressing the @ModiandUS event in New York City. Let us celebrate the bonds that connect our countries!”

The Indian community in Delaware was full of enthusiasm to welcome Prime Minister Modi. Members of the community were chanting “Modi, Modi” as they prepared for the PM’s arrival outside the hotel.
Expressing happiness over Prime Minister Modi’s arrival in the US, a member of the Indian community said, “I don’t think there is any other politician like him, who has given his life and ensured that India gets respect and love. He has brought it to the forefront of the world.”
“I’m pleased to welcome him to Delaware,” he said.
Meanwhile, another member of the community said, “I shook hands with Prime Minister Modi. I am very happy.”
As Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived at Hotel DuPont and met members of the Indian community gathered there to welcome him, another member of the Indian community said, “He has brought back the golden age of India. Modiji is great… this is a historic moment for us.”
Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived at the Philadelphia International Airport on Saturday morning (local time) on the first day of his three-day visit to the United States.
“Have reached Philadelphia. Today’s programme will focus on the Quad Summit and a bilateral meeting with @POTUS @JoeBiden. I am sure the day’s discussions will contribute to improving our planet and addressing key global challenges,” PM Modi said in a post on X.
Welcoming the leaders to Delaware, President Biden said, “Today, I will welcome Prime Ministers Albanese, Modi, and Kishida to my home in Delaware. These leaders are not only essential to ensuring a free and open Indo-Pacific region – they are friends of mine and our nation. I look forward to all we will achieve at the summit.”
At the Quad summit, Prime Minister Modi will discuss regional security and cooperation in the Indo-Pacific region with US President Joe Biden, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida. The last summit of the Quad leaders, the fifth edition, was held in Hiroshima, Japan on May 20 last year.
From Delaware, the Prime Minister will travel to New York, where he will address a community event and participate in a roundtable discussion with CEOs on September 22. On September 23, Prime Minister Modi will address the Future Summit at the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
