Kareena Kapoor’s yoga instructor shares her workout routine after the birth of son Jeh
Kareena Kapoor Khan turns 44 today. Her yoga instructor Anshuka Parwani spoke to India Today about the actress’ fitness regimen.

Kareena Kapoor Khan is celebrating her 44th birthday today. This year she has completed 25 years in cinema. Ever since the actress lost weight and transformed into a size zero for her role in Tashan, she has often been in the news for taking up yoga to stay healthy and fit. Kareena has also played a key role in popularising ‘Surya Namaskar’ again.
India Today Digital had an exclusive interview kareena kapoor khan’s yoga instructor, Celebrity fitness and holistic wellness coach Anshuka Parwani. Sharing details about Bebo’s workout routine, Anshuka said, “Kareena is full of love. I think she is the reason why yoga is back in vogue. Especially when she was prepping for her size zero body in Tashan, she talked about doing 108 surya namaskars and loving yoga.”

Sharing more details, Anshuka said, “One thing I can say is that it is a holistic approach which is not just about being physically fit or agile. Our approach with Kareena has always been 360 degree – taking care of everything holistically; so that’s something that has remained constant. Then came marriage, a husband, then two kids and in between all of this, her body goals have been different because the specific characters she has played on screen have been different.”
She said, “It is very important for an actor to fit into those characters. Sometimes she plays a cop, sometimes she does something else. Recently, for Crew, she was a beautiful and sexy cabin crew member. So we used more strength training, more endurance and changed some of the exercises accordingly. We do resistance training, especially breaking the myth that yoga cannot be a hybrid form of exercise.”
Always with Kareena – Trainer Anshuka
Anshuka also revealed, “The best thing about Bebo is that I am always with her. We do a lot of exercises where we use external weights to push ourselves, because after the age of 30 and, of course, when you have had a baby, or when she is trying to conceive or prenatal, your exercises – they are all very different because they are restrictive yet fun because I love the hybrid versions.”
“The postpartum period is a full nine months. A lot of people think that now that you have delivered a baby, you can immediately get back to the mat or the gym in 40 days, but it is a gradual change. Keeping the hormonal game in mind and keeping holistic practices in mind, both Kareena and I have been very goal-oriented. I remember after Jeh was born, we had set a goal that after nine months or maybe even less. I don’t remember the exact months, but it was very holistic. It was never like we went on crash diets or did crazy workouts that would lead to injuries or pushed ourselves to a point that our body couldn’t bear – we stayed away from all that,” the yoga instructor said.
Learn from Kareena Kapoor Khan
She said, “One thing I have learnt from Kareena is self-love. People talk about it a lot, but Bebo comes naturally to self-love. She is very comfortable about loving herself and discipline and this aspect of embracing self-love is something I have really learnt.”
