Kamal Haasan’s next big release, Thug Life, has been grabbing the attention of all his fans for quite some time now. The film has already captivated the audience with its initial glimpses and posters and is expected to turn out to be a big hit at the box office. Directed by Mani Ratnam, Thug Life is set to release in 2024 itself. And now it looks like the makers have wrapped up the entire shoot of the film, indicating that it will release soon.
Recently, a picture went viral on social media in which Kamal Haasan, Silambarasan TR and Thug Life director Mani Ratnam along with other team members of Thug Life are seen wrapping up the entire shooting schedule of the film. The frame exuded happiness and optimism and surely made the actor’s fans excited to see the film on the silver screen soon.

According to a recent report by Deccan Herald, the makers of Kamal Haasan’s Thug Life have apparently been bought by OTT giant Netflix for a whopping Rs 149.7 crore deal. Well, with such a whopping price tag, it seems like the Mani Ratnam directorial has already surpassed several other blockbusters that were also bought by Netflix for record prices.
The collaboration between Mani Ratnam and Kamal Haasan is eagerly awaited and is considered a much-deserved reunion of the actor-filmmaker duo. In fact, the Vishwaroopam star has co-written the film along with Mani Ratnam himself.
Talking about the cast of the film, Thug Life features many actors like Trisha Krishnan, Silambarasan, Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Ashok Selvan, Jisshu Sengupta, Sanya Malhotra.
If reports are to be believed, Dulquer Salmaan and Jayam Ravi were the first choices for Thug Life. However, after the delay in starting the shooting, both the actors backed out from the project.
