Tamil actor Suriya might join the critically acclaimed Dhoom franchise. As per reports, he is in talks to play the villain in Dhoom 4. However, the official announcement about Dhoom 4 is still awaited. As of now, the makers have not finalised the main cast and crew.

If Suriya agrees to the offer, Dhoom 4 will be his second Hindi film. Though he appeared in a cameo role in Akshay Kumar and Sudha Kongara Prasad’s Sarfira, his full-fledged debut will be in director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s untitled film. The official announcement is yet to be made.

The buzz around Dhoom 4 has been building up over the past few months. It is reported that Yash Raj Films (YRF) is planning to relaunch the Dhoom franchise. The last Dhoom film, the third part, was released in 2013 and the makers have finally decided that it is time for the fourth part.

If reports are to be believed, Aditya Chopra, Ayan Mukerji, Vijay Krishna Acharya and Shridhar Raghavan are working on the idea.

In a 2023 interview with India Today Digital, Abhishek Bachchan spoke about Dhoom 4. He said, “I am not aware of it. If ‘Dhoom 4’ was being made, Adi (Chopra) would have told us. I cannot confirm or deny it, but I am sure if he was making it, I would have been told.”

Suriya will next be seen in the Tamil film Kanguva, directed by Siva. The film will release in theatres later this year. The release date will be announced soon.
