It is well known that Gaurav Gupta is the Hollywood darling of Indian designers in the West. From Cardi B to Nicki Minaj, whenever they are looking for drama in their style, they turn to this Indian fashion designer. Indian-origin celebrities like Poorna Jagannathan and Mindy Kaling are particularly fond of his sculptural outfits. The comedy wizard proved it once again when he chose another Gaurav Gupta outfit to wear for the 2024 Emmys, which he called his “dream dress”.

Actresses like Sofia Vergara and Saoirse Ronan made their mark on the red carpet at the 2024 Emmy Awards. However, Mindy Kaling stole the show in an outfit created by an Indian designer. The star wore a black gown that was a departure from the usual LBD. The ebony creation featured a sculpted off-shoulder detail that led to a dipped neckline. It was adorned with self-coloured beadwork on both sides that moved along the length as well as the pleats. The bodycon silhouette highlighted her hourglass figure, making it shine as a beautiful red carpet statement.

Mindy opted for diamond pendant earrings, bracelets and rings, but did not wear a necklace. Her dark hair was parted down the middle and kept straight and hidden behind her earrings. Heavy bronzer along with glossy brown lips made the outfit even more appealing.
