Filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga is quite excited for his friends Jr NTR and Koratala Siva as their film Devra Part 1 nears its grand release. Ahead of the film’s release, the Animal director had a fun chat with the team of Devra which included Saif Ali Khan, Jr NTR, Janhvi Kapoor and Koratala Siva. During the fun chat, the RRR star had a fun conversation with Sandeep Reddy Vanga when asked about the runtime of his film.
Let us tell you that Sandeep Reddy Vanga had asked the Devra team about the runtime of Devra Part 1. Responding to the question, Koratala Siva mocked the director and said that it is ironic that the director of Animal is asking about the runtime of our film.
Jr NTR teased Vanga by saying, “What is the runtime of Animal, sir? 3:15?” The director started laughing, but he also claimed that Animal was actually 3 hours and 24 minutes long. Saif Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor also couldn’t stop laughing after getting amused by this banter between Jr NTR and Vanga.
During the interaction, Vanga asked the team of Devara what was the idea behind the film. Responding to the question, Koratala Siva said, “This is my most ambitious film till date, ambitious in the sense that it is not in terms of scale but in terms of idea. So generally, see, right from the beginning of commercial cinema, fear is always portrayed as a negative emotion. But sometimes I felt that, you know, when fear is so precious, everybody needs fear.”
He further added, “Usually, a hero acts as a symbol of courage for everyone, for a group of people in an advertisement, but I wanted him to be the fear. People in this world don’t understand logic; they only understand fear. So I thought he should be the fear in the film. So with this background, obviously, you will have those kind of scenes and words. So that’s how the film is being conceived. You would have felt that because it is a different world, obviously, you will get a 300 or Lord of the Rings feel.”
Meanwhile, Devraa Part 1 starring Jr NTR, Saif Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor will hit the big screens on September 27.
