Katy Perry missed out on hearing an important news about her fiancé Orlando Bloom. The actor was awarded a prestigious star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame during his early days in the industry, which Perry was not aware of. During her appearance on the KOST 103.5 podcast, the musician gave a surprising reaction upon learning that her fiancé has a Hollywood star.
While chatting with host Ellen K., the actress-singer reacted, “Wow! Orlando Bloom… wait, he has a star? When did that happen?” The podcast host soon interrupted and asked, “Didn’t you know he had a star?” and Perry revealed, “We never got to meet him!”
Not only did Bloom receive the honor, but the location of his star is also quite popular. The podcast host showed the Dark Horse singer the exact location, saying, “It’s right there, across from the (Madame Tussauds) Wax Museum and the (TCL) Chinese Theatre.”
Meanwhile, the pop star recently performed a medley of 10 songs that he has composed and performed throughout his career. In his conversation with the host, Perry joked, “Is that a big deal? No, just joking. I didn’t know there was a real star, just handprints. What a humble guy.”

Bloom received the coveted star in 2014, a few years before he started dating the pop icon. At the ceremony, the actor was supported by Pirates movie producer, Forest Whitaker, and his son, Miranda Kerr. At the time, the actor expressed his gratitude at the podium, saying, “Getting a star on Hollywood Boulevard is amazing, a little surreal.” He added, “I still feel like I’m at the beginning of my career, and I have a lot to look forward to.”
Perry began dating Bloom in 2016 and their relationship has been going strong ever since. The couple also welcomed their first child in 2020. The actor put a ring on the pop star’s finger in 2022.
