Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan has cancelled her promotional event scheduled for tomorrow, September 12, in Mumbai, following the untimely demise of her friend Malaika Arora’s father Anil Mehta.

According to police reports, Malaika’s father Anil Mehta committed suicide by jumping off the roof of a building on Wednesday, September 11. Kareena Kapoor along with her husband, actor Saif Ali Khan, visited Malaika’s family home Ayesha Manor to offer condolences, where the incident took place.

Kareena Kapoor has been friends with Malaika Arora and her sister Amrita Arora for many years. They often party together and Kareena’s sister Karisma is also a part of their close group.

Kareena was scheduled to attend an event as a special guest at Lido Cinema, Juhu Tara Road, Mumbai on September 12. However, the event has now been postponed.

Kareena Kapoor is also eagerly waiting for the release of her film Buckingham Murders directed by Hansal Mehta. The film stars Ranveer Brar, Ruku Nahar and Ash Tandon in lead roles. The film will be released in theaters on September 13.
