Amy Adams described herself as ‘grateful’ for turning 50 last month; said, ‘I feel great…’

Amy Adams is gearing up for the release of her new film Nightbitch, which is set to hit theaters in December. Ahead of the release, the film premiered at the Toronto Film Festival, where the actress shared her thoughts about the film and her hopes for life, having turned 50 last month.

Speaking about this important milestone in her life, the actress said that she has no regrets at the moment and is full of gratitude for the love she has received over the years.

Speaking with People magazine, the Leap Year star said, “I know everybody’s going to be like, ‘Oh, it’s 50.’ And I’m like, I feel great. I feel very grateful, just very centered and happy to be here. Really grateful.”

Meanwhile, Adams walked the TIFF red carpet with her daughter and husband. The actress was seen in a navy blue dress, golden accessories and hoop earrings.

The Arrival star revealed she was excited to attend the event as it was the first time her daughter attended a screening to support her. “I’m excited to share parts of it with her; since I’m her mom, I’m going to be a little more protective of certain aspects of the filmmaking,” Adams said.

“I think what I want her to know about my experience of motherhood is how much it has enriched my life and made me the woman I am today,” the Oscar-nominated actress added.

In the upcoming horror film, Adams plays a housewife who undergoes a strange transformation and develops dog-like features.

Meanwhile, when the actress spoke to Vogue, she was already 40 years old at the time and revealed that she was very happy. She explained, “I used to think, ‘I’m 40 and I still care what people think of me; I still don’t do laundry so I always have stuff on me; I’m not a grown-up at all,’ and I expected to be a grown-up by that age.”

The Enchanted actress continued, “It wasn’t like, ‘Oh, I’m getting older and I’m going to lose some of the vibrancy about me.’ It was more like, ‘I’m just so disappointed in myself.’ It’s just awful. Any chance of self-loathing?”

For the film, the Hollywood star worked with 12 dogs on the set, who got furious and pounced on Adams during the shooting of the scene. The film is scheduled to release in theatres on December 6.
