After news of Nivin Pauly allegedly assaulting a woman surfaced on the internet, the actor stepped forward to address the people. According to media reports, a case was filed against Nivin Pauly for sexually assaulting a woman in Dubai on the pretext of giving her a role in a film. The actor along with five others have reportedly been booked by the Kerala Police.
However, Nivin Pauly while speaking to the media denied such baseless claims. He said that the news has affected him and his family. The actor said, “This is the first time I am facing such an allegation. It was not good for me to see my name being thrown around by the media. It affected my family and me as well.”
Nivin said he received a call from the police asking him about the complaint filed by the alleged victim. However, he clarified his stance, saying “justice is on his side.”
He further said that he does not know who the complainant is as he was not aware of her beforehand. Calling the allegations fake, he said, “If fake allegations have become the norm, it is not right. I am fighting for all those who are facing such false allegations. This process takes some time. Friends from cinema expressed their solidarity. But even if I have to fight this on my own, I will fight.”
Nivin Pauly claimed that the false news against him may be part of a conspiracy. He said, “It may be a conspiracy hatched by a group of people. I am not sure though. In fact, when the police approached me and read out the complaint against my name, as is the procedure, I told them my side. They were also convinced.”
After telling his side of the story, the actor spoke about calling his mother after the news broke on social media. He explained how his mother gave him the courage to face people without any stress and talk about his story.
