Kareena Kapoor Khan has proved her acting prowess in Hindi cinema with her performances in Jab We Met, Omkara, Chameli and many more. Kareena is more than just Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’s Poo. Bebo is now gearing up for the release of Hansal Mehta’s The Buckingham Murders. After the trailer release date reports, speculations are rife that the Kareena Kapoor starrer will release in both the original English and Hindi dubbed versions.
According to a new report by Bollywood Hungama, Kareena Kapoor Khan’s The Buckingham Murders will be released in two versions. The film is likely to be released in the original English to “maintain authenticity” and will be dubbed in the Hindi language for a section of the Indian audience.
A source told the portal, “As the title suggests, the film is set in Buckingham, England. To maintain authenticity, in the original Hinglish version, the dialogues of the local actors are in English. Even the people of Indian origin are speaking Hindi with an accent.”
The source said that some viewers might be uncomfortable with the dialogues in English or Hindi with accents. The makers have decided to release a dubbed Hindi version for those movie watchers. In the dubbed version, the English and accented Hindi dialogues have been translated well so that the viewers can enjoy and understand the movie.
The makers released the teaser of The Buckingham Murders on August 21. A few days after the release, the team of the Hansal Mehta directorial reportedly plans to unveil the official trailer on September 3. As per a report in News18, the trailer launch event of Kareena’s film will be held on the same date.
Directed by Hansal Mehta, The Buckingham Murders will release in theatres on September 13 this year. The upcoming film will have its international premiere at the 67th BFI London Film Festival on October 14, 2023.
Kareena Kapoor Khan plays British-Indian detective Jasmeet Bhamra in the upcoming film. Her character is assigned the murder case of a 10-year-old child in Buckinghamshire. The actress is co-producing this crime thriller with Ekta Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor.
