AajTak HD and The Lallantop are moving to a new place. Or rather, a new TV screen. Samsung on Thursday announced that Samsung TV Plus, the brand’s free ad-supported streaming TV (FAST) service in India, will now support AajTak HD and The Lallantop in its portfolio. The TV giant says this will help it deliver high-quality programmes and meet the changing needs of viewers in an increasingly connected world.
FAST channels presented by The Lallantop and Aaj Tak HD from TV Today Network will cater to the viewers’ need for engaging and premium free content on the biggest screen at home.
Salil Kumar, CEO, Digital Business, TVTN, said, “We are thrilled to announce the launch of our two new Fast channels on Samsung TV Plus India. This partnership is an important milestone for us, as it allows us to bring our diverse and engaging content to a wider audience through one of the most popular and innovative Smart TV platforms.”
Samsung said its Samsung TV Plus is already providing over 100 fast live channels and thousands of on-demand movies and TV shows to millions of users across India. And all these are ad-supported and hence free for the viewers.
Kunal Mehta, Head of Partnerships, Samsung TV Plus India, said, “The addition of Aaj Tak HD and The Lallantop channels will enhance access to the latest news across business, politics, entertainment and more. This partnership with TV Today Network is a testament to that commitment.”
