K-drama stars Kim Soo-hyun and Jo Bo-a will soon be seen sharing screen space in the series Knock Off. Streaming platform Disney Plus announced the show on Monday, August 26.

According to Korean media outlet, Soompi, it revolves around a man “whose life is completely turned upside-down by the 1997 Asian financial crisis (also known as the IMF Crisis in Korea), transforming him from an ordinary office worker to the king of the global counterfeit market.”

The knock-off will be directed by Park Hyun-suk, who has previously directed series such as Uncontrollably Fond and Song of the Bandits.

While Soo-hyun will play the role of the ‘King of the Fake World’, Jo Bo-ah will be seen as Son Hye-jung, a judicial officer who is tasked with tracking down the perpetrators of the crime.

The release date and other details of the series have not been revealed yet.

Kim Soo-hyun was last seen in the hit series Queen of Tears, while Jo Bo-a played the lead role in Destined With You, where she was seen sharing screen space with Rowoon.
