Actress-turned-politician Kangana Ranaut has claimed that she turned down two of Salman Khan’s blockbusters ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ and ‘Sultan’. She also revealed that Salman and the ‘Tiger 3’ actor share a good rapport.
While talking to Siddharth Kannan, Kangana recalled rejecting both ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ and ‘Sultan’. She said, “Salman (Khan) offered me a role in ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’. I was not interested in doing it.What kind of role have you given me? (What role have you given me?) After this he approached me for ‘Sultan’. I did not accept it. He said, ‘What more can I give you now?'”
Later, ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ was given to Kareena Kapoor Khan. Anushka Sharma was cast for the lead role in ‘Sultan’.
Praising Salman, Kangana said, “Salman is very kind, he keeps talking to me. Even now, for ‘Emergency’, he said, ‘I want to see it.’ So, he sent our common friend and said, ‘You go and see what kind of film he has made.’ I showed him the film. He called me and said, ‘It’s a good film.’ I asked, ‘You have got the feedback but you haven’t seen it?’ He said, ‘No.’ That’s how he talks to me.”
Apart from turning down Salman’s films, Kangana said that Ranbir Kapoor had asked her to work in ‘Sanju’ but she did not do the project. She also said that Akshay Kumar had asked her to be a part of ‘Singh is Bliing’. When she refused, Kangana said that Akshay jokingly told her, “You don’t want to work with me. You have a problem with me.”
Talking about films, Kangana Ranaut will next be seen in ‘Emergency’. In this film, she will play the role of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. This film will be released on 6 September.
