Director Ajay Bhupathi defends Prabhas, criticises Arshad Warsi for ‘Joker’ remark
‘RX 100’ director Ajay Bhupathi defended Prabhas against Arshad Warsi’s criticism. He also claimed that Warsi’s comments stemmed from jealousy and were inappropriate.

Director Ajay Bhupathi, who has directed films like ‘RX 100’ and ‘Mangalvaram’, has defended Prabhas after Arshad Warsi’s ‘Joker’ comment. Arshad Warsi said in a recent interview that he did not like Prabhas’ performance in ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ and asked why he was ‘like a joker’.
Criticising Arshad Warsi’s comment, Ajay Bhupathi wrote on X, “Prabhas is someone who has given everything and will do anything to take Indian cinema to the world audience, he is the pride of our country.”
Taking a dig at Warsi, he said, “We can see the jealousy in your eyes for him because of that film, because you have faded and nobody pays attention to you. There is a limit and a way to express your opinion… it seems whatever you have said about him, that is you.”
The tweet is as follows:
#Radiance The man who has given his all and would do anything to take Indian cinema to a global audience is the pride of our nation.
In that movie, we can see the jealousy in your eyes towards him, because you have faded and no one pays any attention to you.

Speaking to Samdish Bhatia, Arshad Warsi recently said, “Prabhas, I am really sad but, why was he like a joker? Why? I want to see Mad Max, I want to see Mel Gibson there. What have you done to him, man? Why do you do this? I don’t understand this in society.”
In the same interview he also praised Amitabh Bachchan a lot.
‘Kalki 2898 AD’ was directed by Nag Ashwin and also starred Deepika Padukone.
