Veteran actor Mohanlal has been admitted to a hospital in Kochi after suffering from symptoms like high fever, difficulty in breathing and muscle pain. According to the official medical statement, the actor is suspected to be suffering from a viral respiratory infection.
Additionally, the 64-year-old actor has been advised to avoid visiting public places for five days and consume prescribed medicines. The hospital’s official statement was shared by industry tracker Sreedhar Pillai.
After shooting for ‘L2: Empuraan’ and completing the post-production of his directorial debut ‘Barroz’, Mohanlal returned to Kochi where his condition deteriorated. Fortunately, the recent medical reports suggest that his condition is now improving.
The film ‘Barroz’ will release on October 2 this year at the beginning of the nine-day Navratri festival. It marks the directorial debut of the actor, known to fans as Lalettan. The film was earlier planned to release on March 28, 2024. However, the film’s team decided to postpone the release citing delays in post-production.
Earlier this year, Mohanlal and other members of the team were sent a legal notice by a Germany-based Malayalam writer alleging copyright infringement. The film’s team never commented on these allegations in the media.
