Released 12 years ago, Ek Tha Tiger marked a significant milestone in Indian cinema. Directed by Kabir Khan and starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif, the film blended action, romance and espionage to become a blockbuster. It told the story of a RAW agent named Tiger and an ISI agent named Zoya who fall in love despite their national allegiances. In an interview with Hindustan Times, director Kabir Khan said that the shooting was extremely exciting. The team called in Bollywood action directors as well as stunt directors from 14 different countries. The action sequences were filmed on a large scale, which were shot in five countries apart from India – Cuba, Ireland, Turkey, the Syrian border and Thailand.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Khan will next be seen in AR Murugadoss and Sajid Nadiadwala’s Sikandar. The film stars Rashmika Mandanna in the lead role.
A recent report in Mid-Day suggested that the first shot of the film might wrap up on July 1.
The publication reported that the mass entertainer completed its schedule with a high-octane action sequence between Khan and co-star Prateik Babbar at Chitrakoot Grounds. Reportedly shot at Taj Lands End in Bandra, the sequence involved a plane and a specially-constructed exterior set.
The report also states that after completing the action scenes on Monday, the team will take a break of 45 days. During this time a new set will be built at the SRPF ground in Goregaon.
According to Pinkvilla’s sources, the Khan-starrer will be shot in India apart from Portugal and other European countries, with a massive budget. The action-packed film guarantees an unrivalled cinematic journey, releasing on the Eid weekend of 2025.
On the other hand, Katrina was last seen in Sriram Raghavan’s Merry Christmas. Next, she will be seen in Farhan Akhtar’s Jee Le Zaraa alongside Alia Bhatt and Priyanka Chopra.
