The Made by Google event started by giving the audience information about its AI, Gemini. The company started by explaining how Gemini is making smartphones better and enhancing the user experience. During the event, they also discussed that it is not only Google smartphones but other devices like Motorola Razr 50 Ultra and Samsung Z Fold 7 are also using Gemini to make every possible task easier. Along with revealing the smartphone line-up, the company also unveiled the special Gemini features that come with the new launches. The event revealed that the Google Pixel 9 series is the first line-up designed for the Gemini era. The on-device infrastructure has been built to unlock the full potential of Gemini. Pixel Weather App: The application is beautifully designed with a new widget system. The Pixel Weather app is an application that users open every morning. Now, Google is using Gemini to make the experience even better. It is designed to deliver accurate weather forecasts (the most basic task) and Gemini Nano will create a custom AI weather report. This report will include movable tiles for the day’s details, such as humidity, wind speed, air pressure and other items, except for the 10-day forecast.

Pixel Call Notes: Pixel smartphones have been blocking spam calls for a long time. And now the call has been further improved. The new Call Notes feature sends a personal summary and full transcript of the phone call to the user immediately after the call hangs up. This feature ensures that you don’t have to rush to get a paper and pen to write down important information.

Call Notes will note down all the information related to the conversation, but of course, with the permission of the users. When this feature is on, it will also notify the caller, so that transparency is maintained in the call.

Pixel screenshot: This feature only works on screenshots taken on the device. Pixel Screenshots is an exclusive app for the Pixel 9 that helps you save, organize, and remember important information that you want to recall later. Yes, it’s similar to Microsoft’s controversial Recall feature. But it looks like Google picked the best of it.

Pixel Screenshot will analyze the content of all the images (screenshots) and make the information searchable for you in the app. So all you have to do is open the app and search for the thing and the results will pop up. Even better, it will include links to where you found everything and a summary of what you’re looking at with relevant information.

Pixel Studio: It is powered by combining an on-device diffusion model running on Tensor G4 and our Imagen 3 text-to-image model in the cloud. With an optimized UI for easy prompting, style changes, and editing, Pixel Studio can quickly bring your ideas to canvas. During the event, the company showed off how to create an invitation and it was pretty cool.

Camera AI: The main focus of Pixel smartphones has been the camera. With the Google Pixel 9 series, the company is adding AI features to help make it even better. There are several features, including Add Me, Made You Look, Magic Editor, and many more. The Add Me feature uses overlay technology that allows everyone, including the photographer, to add to the picture.

Magic Editor in Google Photos has new editing capabilities so you can get the shot you want. Auto Frame lets you reframe photos for better composition, and you can reimagine your photo by simply typing what you want to see — like adding wildflowers to an open field — so you can bring your ideas to life.

Google has also brought Video Boost to the Pixel 9 high-end models. Video Boost is available on all Pro phones and it’s even better, processing Night Sight videos twice as fast once the video is uploaded. And for the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL, you can use the 48-megapixel 5x telephoto to record high-resolution zoom videos up to 20x with Super Res Zoom video.

Gemini Live: Gemini Live, a new way to interact with Google AI, was also introduced during the event. Gemini Live lets you have an independent conversation with Gemini — straight from your phone or Pixel Buds.
