Ryan Reynolds shows his kids how to take off Deadpool makeup. Fans call it ‘a-peeling’
RYAN Reynolds delighted fans by giving his kids a behind-the-scenes look at helping him remove Deadpool’s complicated mask.
Ryan Reynolds, who is known for his quick wit and playful interactions with fans, recently shared a behind-the-scenes moment. The ‘Deadpool’ star posted a series of photos showing how his kids assist him in removing the iconic Deadpool mask in a humorous way.
In the photos shared on his Instagram, Reynolds is seen letting his kids take off the mask, which is actually a complicated part of special effects makeup that involves silicone appliances. “One thing special effects makeup artists will tell you is to remove silicone appliances from your face slowly, using a range of oil-based products to avoid irritation or injury,” Ryan wrote.
However, in true Ryan Reynolds fashion, he allowed his kids to remove the masks with their little, curious hands, jokingly comparing it to tearing open a Christmas present. “If Christmas meant wondering what someone looks like without eyelashes (sic),” Reynolds quipped in his post, accurately describing the slightly bizarre but fun nature of the job.
Accompanied by her typically humorous comments, the pictures have sparked a flood of reactions from fans, many of whom have dubbed the process “a-peeling”.
His latest film ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’ hits theaters on July 26. Directed by Shawn Levy, the film stars Ryan and Hugh Jackman as the two main characters, and also features a number of cameos from the likes of Wesley Snipes, Chris Evans, Channing Tatum, Jennifer Garner, Henry Cavill, and more.
