Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been at odds with Prince William and Kate Middleton ever since the former royal members stepped down from their duties in 2020. While royal sources have, over the years, described the rift between the two brothers as difficult, new reports claim that the Duke of Sussex is considering resolving the conflict between the couple.
According to royal correspondent Richard Eden, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are “desperate” to bridge the rift.
Various sources on the internet have claimed that the prince and his wives are tired of making hurtful comments about each other and hence, they hope to put an end to the hate soon. Another source close to the former royals suggested that Prince Harry felt a warm bond with Middleton after losing his mother and deeply regretted ruining his relationship with the princess.
Similarly, royal author Tom Quinn told The Mirror, “He really misses that warm, simple relationship, and he’s torn between loyalty to his wife and regret at losing the woman he was so close to. Losing Kate was the second biggest loss for Harry after losing his mother.”

According to royal expert Phil Dampier, who spoke to The Sun, the Prince and Princess of Wales are taking on responsibilities that Prince Harry and Markle could have handled if they remained a working royal family.
“Suddenly, the monarchy that is slim by default looks very thin, so they’re thin on the ground, and obviously, if they were still working royals, Harry and Meghan could take on a lot of the work, so that’s disappointing,” Dampier told the media portal.
The expert also claimed that the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall will have to wait at least 10 more years until Prince George is old enough to take over. Until then, the burden will remain on the current working royals.
Analyzing the current situation between the royal family and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, tensions are still high as no communication has been initiated by either party. Prince Harry and the Suits actress have been living in California with their children since 2023.
