Matt Damon is opening up about his daughters and the experience of being a girl father. In a conversation with Andy Cohen on his Sirius XM show, Air, the actor claimed that he has given his daughters the freedom to make their own life decisions. Damon added that he listens to his kids and gives them guidance whenever needed. The Oppenheimer star shares his daughters, Isabella, Gia, Stella, and Alexia, with his wife Luciana Damon.
When Cohen asked the Hollywood star what advice he would give his daughters, Damon replied, “Oh, man. I don’t know. I wouldn’t dare give anybody any advice, except I would try to listen and be supportive. I mean, at the end of the day, it’s about building self-esteem.” He added, “You know, 99% of the decisions they make, you’re not going to be there, right?”

Moving off topic, the TV host asked Damon how he reacts when his daughters bring boys home. Responding, the actor claimed that he is very calm about such situations. Damon claimed that he doesn’t go “full Boston” about boyfriends, such as asking questions and intimidating them.
Speaking about meeting his daughters’ boyfriends, the Good Will Hunting star said, “Oh, I’m fine. I have no problem with it. You know what I mean?” He added, “You don’t say in Boston, ‘What are you doing with my daughter?'”
The Hollywood actor further added that he is a father who jokes around with his daughters’ partners and laughs with them. Talking about his youngest daughter Alexia, Damon revealed, “You know, at least, our (25-year-old) has, you know, an incredible boyfriend that Lucy and I love.” He added, “We love the guy and to see that she’s making choices like that, really, it’s as good as it can get.”
Matt Damon arrived with his family at the premiere of his upcoming film The Instigators. As the Damon family walked the red carpet, they posed for the cameras and told the entertainment portal that his wife had convinced the actor to take up the role in the film.
The Instigators arrives in theaters on August 2.
