Demi Moore is a 61-year-old actress who has no problem with farting and wants everyone to fart. She is partnering with a digestive drug company called Wonderbelly to draw attention to the importance of gut health. The initiative also includes a new book, An Adult’s Guide to Farts, from Wonderbelly co-founder Lucas Kraft and artist Jessica Paige Dawson.
In a recent Instagram video posted by Moore, she reads the book to her adult children. Asking, “What’s the big deal?” she goes into detail about the antiquity and reasons for the First, as well as offering advice on how to do it discreetly.
Lucas Kraft founded Wonderbelly in 2022 with his brother Noah based on personal inspiration. As a teen recovering from an eating disorder, Kraft relied on antacids that contained questionable ingredients. In contrast, Wonderbelly uses vegan non-GMO ingredients that offer clean options.
Kraft explains how more and more companies need to adapt to the values of younger generations. “There are still the same brands that have been around for generations,” Kraft says, adding that Wonderbelly fits the bill with its healthy products.
Wonderbelly was started by Moore’s daughter Rumer, who used antacids during pregnancy. Rumer liked the natural and tasty ingredients in Wonderbelly. Also, according to Moore, adults should talk openly about their digestive system because it is an important thing at their age.
“Digestive health is an important but often taboo topic,” Moore shared, adding that babies tend to celebrate them while grown-ups hide them. Her conversation with Kraft inspired her to develop an adult guide to farts so people can acknowledge normal bodily functions as helpful instead of feeling ashamed of one’s physical condition.
Through her work at Wonderbelly, Moore has learned a lot about digestive health. She appreciates the firm’s goal of providing pure, effective medicines and promoting conversation about digestive issues. Their Spill Your Guts initiative also encourages this conversation.
Both Moore and Kraft believe that An Adult’s Guide to Farts is not only educational, but fun. According to Kraft, “For us, this book is a way to further our mission to de-stigmatize and bring people closer to accepting normal bodily functions.”
Moore says the book is light-hearted and entertaining while also delivering a message of self-acceptance. In addition, Moore explains that it is an informative and funny pamphlet about farts that aims to bring a smile to people’s faces and make them feel more comfortable in their own skin.
The book is now available for purchase at wonderbelly.com.
