Neeraj Chopra’s ladder drills take him to the top of his fitness game ahead of his javelin bid at Olympics 2024
Champion javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra has reached the Paris Olympic Games Village to take part in the global event. The Olympic gold medallist shared the news of his arrival by sharing several pictures and videos on Instagram. Ahead of the big sporting event, Neeraj Chopra was seen paying special attention to his fitness. Being an athlete, staying fit and healthy is a priority for him. Following this mantra, he was seen spending his time in warm-up exercises. In the last slide of the social media post, Neeraj demonstrated ladder drills, a form of high-intensity interval training. Facing forward, he took cautious and quick steps to move along small sections of the ladder, getting in and out of every box with utmost efficiency. It is a great way to improve speed and balance. Ladder drills may be a pre-workout activity, but physical training has many benefits. It is a great way to burn those extra calories, and keeps you mentally active.

Earlier, Neeraj Chopra gave his fans a glimpse of his tough exercises on Instagram. In the post, he performed lat pulldowns and weighted push-ups. “It feels good to train your body, mind and spirit. It feels even better to do it for your country,” his caption read. Lat pulldowns are beneficial in strengthening your upper body, improving your posture and increasing grip strength. As for weighted push-ups, this form of exercise leads to increased muscle engagement and growth, better core stability and enhanced cardiovascular health.

In another glimpse of his practice sessions, Neeraj Chopra practiced a series of hurdles. This workout increases muscle strength and improves bone flexibility and body coordination. Hurdles are also good for rapid weight loss.
