Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor shared personal thoughts about his relationship with actress Alia Bhatt in a recent interview, and revealed the significant changes Alia has made for him and also opened up about his experiences with therapy.

Kapoor, best known for her roles in films like ‘Rockstar’ and ‘Sanju’, admitted that Bhatt has made a lot of changes in her behaviour to accommodate their relationship. “For example, she used to talk in a very loud voice and I think because of my father’s voice, growing up, that always bothered me. So she really made an effort to change that. And that’s not easy. When you live 30 years of your life speaking a certain way,” Kapoor confessed.

Ranbir also admitted that he has not accepted these changes to the same extent. He said, “She has changed more for me than I have changed for her. I am accepting it but I should do something about it, I should change a little.”

Ranbir also revealed that he underwent therapy and also explained why and how it did not work for him.

The ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’ actor said, “I had tried therapy before my father fell ill. I don’t think it worked for me for two reasons. Firstly, because I couldn’t fully express myself in front of the therapist. Secondly, the therapist was somehow teaching me how to manipulate life.”

He further added, “To overcome all this, there is a way you can learn – by teaching yourself certain things. Whatever he was telling me made me realise that I don’t want to manipulate life. I don’t want to have any emotion to escape from it because that gives me peace.”

Ranbir was last seen in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s ‘Animal’, which is one of the biggest films of 2023. He will next be seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Love and War’ alongside Vicky Kaushal and Alia Bhatt.
