Prabhas is currently enjoying the success of his recent hit film Kalki 2898 AD directed by Nag Ashwin. The actor who will next be seen in the film The Raja Saab is said to have taken a low remuneration for it.
According to a report in News 18, the actor has taken a nominal amount as salary from the producers, People Media Factory, for the film. Interestingly, the same production company was previously involved in the distribution of Prabhas starrer Adipurush as well.
Is Prabhas taking less remuneration for Raja Saheb?
Although several reports of Prabhas’ pay cut have surfaced on the internet, there has been no official confirmation from the makers. The upcoming film directed by Maruthi is said to be a horror-comedy film that will make extensive use of VFX in its production.
Moreover, the film is aimed to be a fun film with the actor expected to sport a thick beard and long hair look. Moreover, the film is expected to feature Malavika Mohanan and Nidhi Agarwal in the lead female roles, which will be their first film with the Darling actor.
The film will hit the big screens in early 2025 and the makers are planning to release it in various languages.
On Prabhas’ work front
Prabhas was last seen playing the lead role in the epic sci-fi action film Kalki 2898 AD alongside Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan and Disha Patani. The film is inspired by the Hindu mythological epic Mahabharata and Kalki, the 10th incarnation of Lord Vishnu.
The adventure epic penned by Nag Ashwin magically crafted a story that balanced mythological elements with a horrifying futuristic setting. Apart from the lead actors, the film also featured Saswata Chatterjee, Brahmanandam, Rajendra Prasad, Shobhana, Pashupati, Anna Ben and many others in pivotal roles.
The film also features several other actors such as Vijay Deverakonda, Dulquer Salmaan, Mrunal Thakur among others playing interesting cameo roles.
Apart from this, Prabhas is expected to collaborate with Animal director Sandeep Reddy Vanga for a police action film titled Spirit. The actor also has a period movie directed by Hanu Raghavapudi and Prashanth Neel’s film Salaar: Part 2 – Shouryanga Parvam in the pipeline.
