Rumours are flying around again about the iPhone SE 4. Initially, it was speculated that it would have a design similar to the iPhone 14. However, new reports tell a different story. The iPhone SE 4 may feature a similar design as the iPhone 16, which is speculated to launch in September this year. Sources from China indicate that it will be almost indistinguishable from the iPhone 16, making them difficult to differentiate. This change in design speculation has sparked interest and excitement among Apple enthusiasts, as they eagerly await the official announcement and release of both models.

A Chinese tipster, “Fixed Focus Digital” has revealed information about the iPhone SE 4 – the backplate for the SE 4 is said to be similar to the one for the iPhone 16, which is slated for a grand unveiling this September. Meanwhile, according to rumours, the SE 4 will make its debut later this year.

This fresh news overturns previous rumors that Apple would stick with a revised iPhone 14 chassis for the SE 4. Back in November 2023, MacRumors had insider information from a source privy to Apple’s manufacturing secrets, claiming the SE 4’s dimensions were a dead ringer for the iPhone 14.

So, what happened? Why the sudden change of mind? Although the details are still under wraps, one suspects that Apple is playing it smartly. By using the latest rear chassis design for the more wallet-friendly SE model, Apple could be aiming to create a great space for production, thereby benefiting from economies of scale as the iPhone 14 models roll out.

In short, the iPhone SE 4 could be getting a new look that will make it look more like its stellar iPhone 16 sibling rather than the outdated iPhone 14. This move could be a big deal for budget-conscious Apple fans who want a new look without the hefty price tag. Keep your eyes open, because this spring, Apple could surprise us all!

The iPhone 16, scheduled to launch in September 2024, is set to bring significant changes to Apple’s smartphone lineup. Here are some of the key features and improvements we expect–The iPhone 16 Pro will feature a 6.3-inch display, while the larger iPhone 16 Pro Max will have a 6.9-inch screen. This represents a significant increase in size over the previous model.

The standard iPhone 16 will also benefit from these larger displays, which will improve the overall user experience. All four models – iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Pro, iPhone 16 Pro Max, and the standard edition – will feature new buttons. The action buttons will perform various actions, making navigation more intuitive. Additionally, the capture button will be dedicated to capturing photos and videos, streamlining the photography experience.

The standard iPhone 16 models will feature a redesigned vertical camera arrangement. Meanwhile, the Pro models are rumoured to have a tetraprism 5x optical zoom lens, promising improved photography capabilities. Apple is developing new A-series chips specifically for the iPhone 16 lineup. These chips aim to enhance both efficiency and performance, ensuring smooth multitasking and responsiveness.
