Radhika Madan on age difference with Akshay Kumar: Every explanation is shown in the film
Radhika Madan discussed the age difference with Akshay Kumar and highlighted their strong on-screen chemistry in ‘Sarfira’. She told IndiaToday.in that fans loved their chemistry.

Radhika Madan, who has worked with Akshay Kumar in ‘Sarfira’, has addressed the discussions about their age difference. The actress told IndiaToday.in that after the film’s release, no one brought up the age-related discussions. Rather, they praised their chemistry.
Radhika Madan, best known for her roles in films like ‘Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota’ and ‘Angrezi Medium’, opened up about working with Akshay Kumar in ‘Sarfira’. Radhika also shared her opinion on the buzz surrounding her age difference with Akshay Kumar. “When the film was announced and when the trailer came out, it was a buzz. But surprisingly after the release, I read 42 reviews and none of them mentioned the age difference,” she told IndiaToday.in.
He added, “They just said that they have amazing chemistry, deep chemistry and lovely chemistry. Everyone mentioned the chemistry. The same people who were saying ‘why is it so’ after watching the trailer. We have focused on the superficial aspect of it before and that’s why people think ‘They have done the same thing again’ (They did it again), it’s not like that. It’s a very different story.”

The actor further added, “Every explanation is beautifully shown in the film. Everything is addressed from the word ‘go’. The age difference is addressed in my opening scene. You don’t feel that because Veer and Rani’s (her character in the film) connection is very deep. It’s not like she’s a good-looking young girl or he’s a handsome old man. They were fighting so hard to prove their dreams to people around them, that when they looked at the other person and saw themselves in them, that was the reason for the attraction. They felt they were being seen. It wasn’t about how much they earn, or how they look. She didn’t say yes to him until she could respect herself and him.”
Directed by Sudha Kongara, ‘Sarfira’ was released on July 12. The film starred Akshay Kumar, Radhika Madan and Paresh Rawal.
