Useless and unemployed: Kangana Ranaut takes a dig at CJP spokesperson Saurav Das.
Kangana Ranaut launched a new attack on CJP spokesperson Saurav Das and questioned his claim of being a student. In an earlier interview, Das had questioned his credibility and defended Gen-Z.
BJP MP and actress Kangana Ranaut has stepped up her criticism of the cockroach Janata Party (CJP), calling its spokesperson Saurav Das “useless and unemployed” in a series of Instagram Stories. The comments came just hours after Das criticized Kangana over her controversial comments on Gen-Z and the CJP-led NEET-UG 2026 protests.
On Tuesday, Kangana Ranaut shared a recent screenshot of Das. ANI Gave interviews and questioned his claim of being a student.

“Googled this guy, and he’s 28, how he claims to be a student, I have no idea,” he wrote. The 40-year-old actor then defended her achievements, saying that by the time she was Das’s age, she had won two National Awards.
“Yes, I have been in politics for the last two years, but I have been in public life for the last 20 years. At her age, I had two national awards. As a new MP, I was overwhelmed with work because I am also a filmmaker, performance artist, producer, screenwriter and entrepreneur (sic).”
Ranaut called Das “completely useless and unemployable”, and added, “He will never understand what it means to be in huge demand all the time. Dear Saurav, your issues are personal. You are not a student, you are simply useless. Let’s start by learning some skills.”

In an earlier Instagram story, Ranaut had criticized the videos of the CJP protests, calling them “nausea inducing”.
He wrote, “I have never seen so much ugliness in one place in my life. The way they speak and the language they use. You call yourself a cockroach and even look and behave like one.” He further said that he needed a “digital detox” after watching the clip.
Earlier today, the actor-MP had also shared a story criticizing the damage caused to public property during the protests. He admonished the protesters for their “dirty reels” and demanded accountability.

What inspired Kangana’s reaction?
Ranaut’s comments come after Das rejected her criticism of the CJP and raised questions about how seriously she is taken as a politician.
talking to ANI“Even her own party members don’t pay much attention to Kangana Ranaut or take her seriously, so why should we? I don’t think anyone in Gen Z, Gen Alpha or any of the younger generations takes her seriously or listens to what she says,” Das said.
Referring to Ranaut’s previous comments about her role as an MP, Das said she herself admitted that she underestimated the responsibilities that come with public office.
She also criticized his choice of words and said, “Gen Z has done more for this country than they have and are continuing to do so.”

Saurav Das is an investigative journalist by profession. According to her LinkedIn profile, she studied journalism and mass communication and began her professional writing career in 2020. His profile also states that he is working on a book examining the role of the Indian judiciary in the country’s democratic institutions.
How did the Kangana vs Saurav controversy start?
This is not the first time Kangana Ranaut has targeted CJP. Over the past few weeks, he has repeatedly criticized the organization and its supporters over the NEET-UG 2026 paper leak protests, questioning both their methods and the language used during the protests.
He also defended Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Centre’s handling of the controversy following the resignation of former Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. Ranaut supported the government’s education reforms and welcomed the formation of a high-powered committee to strengthen the examination system.
In turn, the CJP accused Ranaut of trivializing the movement and responded by saying that even leaders of her own party did not take her comments seriously.
Cockroach Janata Party emerged at the center of nationwide protests over the alleged NEET-UG 2026 paper leak. The month-long agitation ultimately led to the resignation of former Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan after the Center accepted several demands raised by the group, including compensation for the affected families and withdrawal of FIRs against the protesters.
While the protests have ended, the public debate between Ranaut and CJP leaders has continued online, with both sides taking digs at the agitation and its consequences.
