Meet celeb nanny Lalita D’Silva, who takes care of Ram Charan’s daughter, Taimur, Jeh
With over three decades of experience, Mumbai-based pediatric nurse Lalita D’Silva has cared for children from some of India’s most prominent families. She is currently taking care of Ram Charan’s daughter, Caroline Cara, and previously looked after Kareena Kapoor Khan’s sons, Taimur and Jeh.
Mumbai-based pediatric nurse Lalita D’Silva has quietly become one of the most trusted child care professionals among India’s high-profile families. With over three decades of experience, she is currently looking after Ram Charan and Upasana Konidela’s daughter, Clin Kara Konidela, and has previously looked after Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan’s sons, Taimur Ali Khan and Jahangir Ali Khan. She also spent more than a decade looking after Mukesh Ambani’s youngest son Anant Ambani.
Lalita recently came into limelight by speaking about her work in an interview. pinkvillaWhere he described Ram Charan and Upasana as practical parents. He also addressed the ongoing speculation about his salary, saying that the widely reported figure of Rs 1.5 lakh to Rs 2.5 lakh per month is inflated.
Lalita started her career as a nurse in a private hospital in Mumbai before moving into private child care. Her journey as a celebrity nanny began in 1996 when the Ambani family hired her to take care of Anant Ambani. She lived with the family for about 11 to 12 years and shared a close relationship with them.
Last year, on Anant’s birthday, she had posted a throwback picture with him and wrote, “Wishing my Anant a very happy birthday. God bless him. My Anant has grown up now. I really admire the way he loves animals. I love you, Anant, for your hard work towards animal welfare.”
Over the years, Lalita has become a well-known name in celebrity circles. She later took care of Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan’s sons, Taimur and Jeh, before taking up the responsibility of looking after Ram Charan and Upasana’s daughter Kline Cara.
Speaking about the Konidela family, Lalitha said, “Everything about the family is great. If I want to relax, Upasana madam takes care of the child. Since I am here, and they are in London, Ram Charan sir and Upasana madam are taking care of their child. They are hands-on parents.”
His association with many celebrity families has also increased the curiosity about his earnings. Responding to the reports, Lalita said that the figures being circulated online were exaggerated. Although he did not disclose his exact remuneration, he explained that the role requires round-the-clock attention, constant vigilance and very few traditional holidays, which is reflected in the fees he charges.
Apart from working as a pediatric nurse and nanny, Lalita now runs her own care agency based on decades of experience in child care.
