Despite reports of delays, a new poster of Salman Khan’s Mathrubhumi has hinted that the film will arrive in 2026. Chitrangada Singh also plays an important role in this film directed by Apoorva Lakhia.
Amid reports of the delay of Salman Khan’s Mathrubhumi, the new poster of the film has confirmed that it is on track to release in 2026, much to the relief of fans who were waiting for an update. However, one detail has caught everyone’s attention – the director’s name is not mentioned in the poster. Instead, it is simply credited to “A film by Salman Khan Films”.
The new poster comes amid reports of the film being pushed to 2027. Reportedly, the delay was due to concerns raised by the Defense Ministry over certain parts of the film, including references to China.

The poster shows Salman Khan peeking out from behind a blood-soaked stone wrapped in barbed wire, hinting at the film’s darker backdrop.

Directed by Apoorva Lakhia, Homeland It is inspired by the Galwan Valley clash on June 15, 2020, in which Indian troops had a brutal fight with Chinese troops along the Line of Actual Control (LAC). The clash cost the lives of 20 Indian soldiers and is one of the most significant military confrontations between India and China in recent history.
Salman plays the role of Colonel B Santosh Babu, the commanding officer of 16 Bihar Regiment, who led his troops during the Galwan Valley conflict.
The film also stars Chitrangada Singh in the lead role, along with Abhilash Chaudhary and Ankur Bhatia in lead roles. The music is composed by Himesh Reshammiya.
