Kannada actor and former big boss kannada Contestant Aishwarya Sindogi has filed a police complaint alleging continuous online harassment and abuse on social media. The actress has reportedly named a person known to her and accused him of using multiple fake social media accounts to target her with objectionable comments.

Based on her complaint, Sanjaynagar Police of Bengaluru has registered an FIR and initiated an investigation into the alleged cyber harassment.

According to a Cinema Express report, Aishwarya claimed that she had earlier filed a police complaint against the same person after allegedly receiving threats. He has now alleged that the derogatory comments are being posted through multiple fake accounts and has urged the police to identify the people behind them and initiate legal action.

In her complaint, the actress said that she has faced abusive and derogatory comments on the posts shared on her social media platforms. She alleged that the harassment had continued for a long time, due to which she had to approach the police once again.

Police have reportedly started investigating the social media accounts mentioned in the complaint to find out if they are fake profiles and to identify those operating them. More information is awaited as the investigation progresses.

Aishwarya’s complaint comes amid growing concern over online abuse targeting female artistes in the Kannada film industry. In recent months, actor Ramya and actor Darshan’s wife Vijayalakshmi Darshan also approached the police over derogatory comments and online trolling. In both the cases, the cyber crime police identified the accused after investigation and made arrests.

Now with the FIR being filed, the police are expected to unearth the alleged fake accounts and ascertain the identity of those responsible for the derogatory comments.
