Bhushan Kumar’s cousin Tisha Kumar’s funeral postponed due to bad weather in Mumbai; will take place on July 22

Tisha Kumar, daughter of Krishan Kumar and cousin of Bhushan Kumar, tragically passed away on July 18 at the age of 20 after a prolonged illness. She was often seen at T-Series film screenings. After her death, the family released a statement saying that it is a difficult time for the family, and requested that the family’s privacy be respected.

Now, Tisha’s funeral which was supposed to take place today, July 20, has been postponed due to bad weather in Mumbai.

Bhushan Kumar’s cousin Tisha Kumar’s funeral will take place on July 22. It was supposed to take place on July 21 but was postponed due to incessant rains in Mumbai.

According to ETimes, the family released a statement saying, “Dear friends and family, it is with immense sadness that we inform you that our beloved Tisha Kumar, the beloved daughter of Krishan Kumar and Tanya Kumar, passed away on July 18, 2024. Due to bad weather in Mumbai, the flight has been diverted to Ahmedabad, delaying the landing in Mumbai, so we will unfortunately have to perform the last rites tomorrow.”

The time is 10 am and the venue is Vile Parle Crematorium, Vile Parle West, Mumbai. The family also said, “The prayer meeting will take place as scheduled. It will be held on Monday, July 22 at 4 pm at the Ruby Ballroom of Hotel Sahara Star. Your presence and support will be greatly appreciated during this difficult time.”

For those who don’t know, Krishan Kumar is the younger brother of the late founder of music company T-Series and film producer Gulshan Kumar.

Tisha’s last public appearance was in November 2023, when she attended the premiere of Animal, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. The film stars Ranbir Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor, Tripti Dimri and Bobby Deol. Photos of her posing for the camera with Bhushan at the premiere also surfaced on social media.

Meanwhile, T-Series’ upcoming films include Akshay Kumar’s Khel Khel Mein, Kartik Aaryan’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, Ajay Devgn’s Raid 2 and Aditya Roy Kapur’s Metro with Dino.
