It’s been five years since Raj Kundra has been waiting for justice in his ongoing pornography case, the actor has now announced that he is ready to face the consequences and give up his life if found guilty. In 2021, Kundra was accused of distributing obscene content through mobile applications, leading to his arrest and 63 days in jail for a crime he says he did not commit.

Even today Kundra stressed that he wants the matter to be resolved. He said, “Of all the accused, I am constantly saying that if I have done anything wrong then punish me. End this forever. But, if I have not done anything wrong then give me a clean chit and I know I have not done anything wrong.”

He remains firm on his stand regarding the final decision. Kundra said, “I have been fighting this case for the last five years. I will say even today that if I am found guilty, I am ready to give up my life.”

Recently, the actor-businessman reminisced about the horrors of that period and revealed that when he was arrested and convicted for something he did not do, he closed down all his businesses.

He said, “During my bad phase, Shilpa and I decided to close our business. There were investments in sectors like Rajasthan Royals, Mixed Martial Arts, we had launched a home shopping center and I had a technology company in the name of my son Viaan Industries. Around 4000 people were earning a living through it.”

Kundra said, “I was arrested and convicted for something I didn’t do. It’s sad to know that after contributing to the development of India’s startup system, I had to shut it all down. When I was arrested I was just called for a statement.”

Despite the struggle, Raj Kundra would not want to remove those 63 days from his life. He said, “Those 63 days in Arthur Road Jail were the absolute horror of my life. Those were the times when I didn’t know whether I would be able to see the next morning or not.”

Kundra highlighted that the difficult experience ultimately shaped his outlook. He concluded, “I wouldn’t want to change any other chapter of my life. If I hadn’t lived those 63 days, I wouldn’t be the Raj Kundra I am today. I wouldn’t know who are my people and who aren’t.”

Kundra is a British-Indian business entrepreneur and has been married to actor Shilpa Shetty since 2009. The couple welcomed their son in May 2012. The couple welcomed a second child, a girl, through surrogacy on 15 February 2020.
